1) INTRODUCTION
===============

The installation for the NDIS driver in Windows for Workgroups is menu
driven through the Windows interface.  The driver and other relevant
files are located in the WFW311 directory. The directory structure provided
on the driver diskette has been setup for automatic OEM installation. Follow
the guidelines in the Microsoft Windows for Workgroups  User's Guide for
more details to install the driver from the driver diskette.


2) NDIS 2.01 Driver Installation for Windows for Workgroups v3.11
======================================================================

1.  In the Windows directory, run WIN.COM.

2.  Insert the driver diskette into the system's floppy drive.

3.  In the Windows for Workgroup 3.11 Program Manager, select
    <Network Setup> icon from the <Network> windows.

4.  In the <Network Setup> dialog box, select the <Drivers...> button.

5.  In the <Network Drivers> dialog box, select <Add Adapter> button.

6.  In the <Add Network Adapter> dialog box, choose "Unlisted or Updated
    Network Adapter" from the menu and then select <OK>.

7.  The <Install Driver> dialog box appears. Enter correct path of the
    driver (eg. A:\WFW311) and select <OK>.

8.  The following names are displayed:
    "Universal 10/100VG/EISA LAN Adapter", 
    "Universal 10/100VG/ISA LAN Adapter".
    Select the appropriate name and choose <OK>.

9.  The screen shows the default configuration. 
    Choose "OK" if all configuration settings are correct.

10. The NDIS driver will be copied into the Windows for Workgroup. All other
    necessary files are also copied from the Windows for Workgroup disk.

11. The NDIS driver installation is completed. Choose <Restart Computer>
    to make the changes effective.

12. The Windows for Workgroups is now ready to run with the adapter.




Note on Optional Parameters
===========================

Below is an explanation of each optional parameter for Universal 10/100VG 
LAN Adapter.


SLOT
   range: [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15]

   This parameter is applicable to the EISA version of 10/100VG only.
   If present, indicates the EISA slot in which the Universal 10/100VG/EISA
   LAN adapter is installed.  If the adpater is not in that slot, the driver 
   will exit with an error.

   If more than one adapter are installed in the computer, this parameter 
   must be set for each EISA adapter installed.

IOADDRESS
   range: [0x200, 0x240, 0x280, 0x2C0, 0x300, 0x340, 0x380]

   This parameter is applicable to the ISA version of 10/100VG only.
   If present, indicates the IO base address in which the 
   Universal 10/100VG/ISA LAN adapter is installed.  If the adpater with 
   this IO address is not present, the driver will exit with an error.

   If more than one adapter are installed in the computer, this parameter 
   must be set for each ISA adapter installed.
