<Features of PM 1035e/1435e printer driver>
The Compuprint PM 1035e/1435e printer driver has the following features:

    (a) Support of GL_Graphics mode
GL_Graphics mode is supported by the Compuprint PM 1035e/1435e printer driver.
It can be set in the [Graphics Mode] combo-box of the [Options] dialog box.
GL_Graphics mode gives better performance by using a Compuprint original
         data compression method.

If there are problems printing in this default mode change the Graphics mode
setting to Raster and try printing again. For details see the Options dialog
         help.

Raster : This is the optimum mode when printing a document containing
                       alot of text.
GL_Graphics : This is the optimum mode when printing a document containing
                       intricate graphics.
GL_EX : This is the optimum mode when printing a document from

    (b) Support for 3 types of Graphics quality.
[HIGH],[MEDIUM],[LOW] can be selected from the [Graphics Quality]

resolution of graphics causing a noticeable variance in print
         results and printing time.

    (c) Support for Smoothing(ERT)
ERT is a function which corrects the jaggedness of print. It can
be set from the [Options] dialog box.

    (d) Advance Options Dialog box
By selecting the Options button while keeping the Ctl keyboard button depressed
an Advanced Options dialog box will be displayed. This includes settings for

Note: The printer driver should only be removed from Windows' Control Panel.

<Limitations of printer driver>
The Compuprint PM 1035e/1435e printer has the following limitations.

    (1) When Graphics Mode is Raster, most of the rasterizing is done by the
display driver. If print results differ noticeably from what is
displayed on screen, upgrade the display driver to the most recent
         version and try printing again.

    (2) If print data overlaps into the unprintable area of the printer some data may
not be printed. In this case adjust the margin settings and try printing
         again.

    (3) When printing from Microsoft Windows 3.1 Notepad, printing at 600dpi
resolution may not produce the desired results.
In this case set the resolution to 300dpi before printing.

    (4) Most applications use driver functions and settings in the normal
way, but there may be some applications that read driver settings
at start-up time only, or change some control panel settings while the
application is running, or change printer settings from the applications
[Printer Settings] option etc. Operation of the driver may be unstable after
         such cases.
If possible set up the the printer in the windows Control Panel before running
         an application.

    (5) When using Corel Ventura (Corel Co.), before starting up the application the
printer environment should be set up in the Windows Control panel.

    (6) When using MS-EXCEL, printer set-up should be executed from the [Page Layout]
         dialog of the File menu.
Otherwise the intented settings (Paper Size etc.) may not be used.

    (7) When printing from MS-WORD, click the default button of the Printer set-up
[Options] dialog before you start printing.
Otherwise a blank page may be printed due to the incorrect setting of Font
         information.

    (8) When a print job is cancelled while printing, if the data lamp of the printer
operator panel remains on, turn the power switch off and on once, before using again

    (9) If there is insufficient memory available in Windows, the desired printing results may
not occur. In this case, increase total Windows memory by increasing the size of the
Swap file in the Control Panel and try printing again.

    (10) When using "Print True Type Fonts as Printer Fonts" in Raster Mode, depending on the
application characters may be clipped or shortened and not print correctly.
If this happens, please use GL_Graphics Mode.
