This is a demonstration version of PoINT CDaudio Plus. It shall demonstrate
the functionality of the user interface of PoINT CDaudio Plus. No CD recorder
is needed to use the program.

To install the demonstration version of PoINT CDaudio Plus please run program
'SETUP.EXE'. It will copy the program files to a specified installation
directory on your hard disk.

To de-install PoINT CDaudio Plus from your hard disk simply remove the
installation directory and the program group. The setup program does neither
modify any system file nor does it add files to other directories.

PoINT CDaudio supports the following recording devices (DAO = disc-at-once).

-------------------------------
Specific comments/restrictions:
-------------------------------

	- Grundig CDR100IPW,
	  HP 4020I,
	  Philips CDD2000,
	  Plasmon CDR4220
Firmware revision 1.20 does not support sub-indexes and
		reverses the audio channels; use revison 1.25 or above;
this revision can be obtained from Philips
(philips.com in the world wide web)
	- JVC XR-W1001,
	  JVC XR-W2001,
	  Pinnacle RCD-1000
Those JVC drives which do not support DAO write all tracks
at once; therefore no link blocks (no errors or noise) is
added between audio tracks; only between lead-in area and
first track and between last track and lead-out area link
blocks are inserted; link blocks at these positions normally
do not cause errors and the resulting discs are perfect

Catalog numbers (UPC/EAN) and ISRC are not supported by
		these drives
	- JVC XR-W2010,
	  Pinnacle RCD5040
Catalog numbers (UPC/EAN) and ISRC are not yet supported
by these drives; support will be added to PoINT CDaudio Plus
as soon as possible and will be available as update
	- Kodak PCD225,
	  Philips CDD522
Firmware revisions 1.04 to 1.06 theoretically support DAO
		recording, too, but in practise it does not work reliably;
therefore drives with these firmware revisions should not
		be used at all
	- Matsushita CW-7501,
	  Panasonic CW-7501,
	  Plasmon CDR4240
These drives do not correctly disconnect from the SCSI bus
during recording. With these drives PoINT CDaudio Plus can only
make restricted use of the read-ahead cache in the memory of
your computer (see .WRI files). Please edit file CDAUDIO.INI
in the installation directory of Windows and replace text line
"PolledScsiIO=0" with "PolledScsiIO=1". Start PoINT CDaudio Plus
and access the drive once if file or text line do not
		yet exist.
	- Ricoh RO-1420
The RO-1420 does not correctly disconnect from the SCSI bus
during recording. With this drive PoINT CDaudio Plus can only
make restricted use of the read-ahead cache in the memory of
your computer (see .WRI files). Please edit file CDAUDIO.INI
in the installation directory of Windows and replace text line
"PolledScsiIO=0" with "PolledScsiIO=1". Start PoINT CDaudio Plus
and access the drive once if file or text line do not
		yet exist.

Furthermore RO-1420 does not support copy protection bits
(see on-line help). Copy protection will always be on.
	- Sony CDU920,
	  Sony CDU924,
	  HighTech CD-R1002,
	  Olympus CDS615E,
	  Optima CD-R650,
	  SAF CD-R2004
Catalog numbers (UPC/EAN) and ISRC are not supported by
		these drives
	- Yamaha CDR100,
	  Plasmon CDR4400
Firmware revision 1.08 adds noise to the end of the last
audio track; either set the copy protection bit for all
tracks or try to get a new firmware revision to avoid
		the click noise
	- HP CD-Writer,
	  Philips CDD2600,
	  Pinnacle RCD4X4,
	  SAF CD-R2006
	  Sony CDU926,
	  Teac CD-R50,
	  Yamaha CDR102
