Notes on Using the Roland S-MPU/AT Interface
----------------------------------------------------------
On multimedia computers that come with preinstalled sound boards or other
equipment provided with a MIDI interface, the factory-default settings for
the Roland board may not work correctly. In this case, read the
following explanation and change the settings to enable correct operation.

> IBM PC/AT compatible with a Sound Blaster 16 series board

The I/O address for the MIDI port built into the Sound Blaster 16 series
boards conflicts with the default I/O address for the Roland MIDI interface
board. This means that the address for one board or the other must be changed.

MIDI interface | I/O address | Interrupt No.
----------------------+--------------------------+----------------------
Roland S-MPU | (330H), 370H, 3B0H, 3F0H | 5, 7, (9 [2]), 10, 11
                      | 1330H, 1370H,13B0H,13F0H |
Roland MPU-401 series | (330H), 332H, 334H, 336H | 3, 5, 7, (9 [2])
SB 16 MIDI Port | 300H, (330H) | (5), 7, 9 [2], 10

* The values in parentheses are the default values.
