Setting up the dimensions by hand
				 STB Systems

If one of the settings that you desire is not offered in the oemsetup, then following will take you through, step by step to change the settings by hand. The first section will explain how to create the register edit icon for easy use. The second section will explain how to actually change the values in the registry.

Creating the Register Edit Icon

	1. Open the Program Group that you want the icon to appear in.
	2. Click on File in the Program Manager menu bar.
	3. Select "Program Item" and the click on "OK".
	4. Select the "Command Line" box and then click on "Browse...".
	5. Go to the System32 directory inside your windows directory.
	6. Highlight the file "regedt32.exe" and then click on "OK".
	7. Click on "OK" in the "Program Item Properties" box.

You should now have an icon which will allow you access to the registry ( where the variables are stored ).

Using the Register Edit

Once you start the regedt32 program, there may be up to four icons or windows opened. Make the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE on Local Machine" your active window. Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE open

	System, then
	Current Control Set, then
	Services, then
	et4000, then
	Device0.

At this point, on the right hand side, you will see the variables STB.ScreenWidth and STB.ScreenHeight, if you have all ready ran the oemsetup,. If not, First run the oemsetup and pick the resolution that you want, then come back and hand define the setup that you want. The setup that you pick at first does not matter as long as it could work. ( Best to pick 1x1, if you are going to change them.).

Once you highlight the variable that you want changed, click on the Edit option in the menu bar. Select DWORD and enter the value of the number of screens desired for that setup.

NOTE: The new configuration will not take effect until the system is restarted.
