			       FILES
			      -------

Your distribution diskette contains the following files:

     README.TXT - This file.
     AMS.AIF - AMS Installation file.
     INSTALL.BAT - Installation batch file.
M30EXTRA.TMP - A file copied into the MICFILES directory as
M30EXTRA.CNF (or appended to an existing
M30EXTRA.CNF). This causes MIC to load the ATTRIBUTE
command module every time MIC is loaded.
MIC-ATT.EXE - The ATTRIBUTE command module
     DVA-4000.SYS - DVA-4000 device driver

			     INSTALLATION
			     ------------

This patch is to used with MIC System I v4.0 and above.

Install the software using the standard AMS installation procedure :-

	- Insert the distribution diskette in a floppy drive.
	- from the AMS Main Menu, select the "Install an AMS Application"
          option.
	- Specify the source drive as the floppy drive containing the
diskette. Specify the destination as the drive on which the MIC
          system is installed.

				USAGE
				-----

This patch is provided to allow you to control the contrast, brightness
and saturation of your video image from within an MIC application. It
includes a new command module (MIC-ATT.EXE) which provides a new MIC
    command group (ATTRIBUTE).

The installation procedure copies this module along with a new version
of the DVA-4000 device driver into your \MICFILES directory. It creates
a file called M30EXTRA.CNF (or adds a line to your existing M30EXTRA.CNF)
which means that the ATTRIBUTE command will be loaded into memory each
    time MIC is loaded.

Should you wish to selectively load the module, delete the line

	       C:\MICFILES\MIC-ATT.EXE

from M30EXTRA.CNF, or delete the complete file if it is the only line.
Then to load the module, simply run the MIC-ATT.EXE program immediately
    after loading MIC.

                             NEW COMMANDS
                             ------------

    The commands made available are...

	ATTRIBUTE CONTRAST CLevel
	ATTRIBUTE SATURATION SLevel
        ATTRIBUTE BRIGHTNESS Input BLevel Hue

Where CLevel, SLevel and BLevel are values between 0 (minimum) and
255 (maximum), Input specifies the video source and must be 1 or 2,
and Hue is a value between -128 and +127.

All words can be abbrieviated to 3 characters.
