   1. This application must be used with MIC v3.31 or above.

   2. Installation procedure.

       - This patch software is installed from within AMS in the usual way
from the "Install an AMS Application" option on the main menu.
This procedure copies the application into the MICFILES directory
         on the specified destination disk.

       - The destination disk supplied must be the disk on which MIC was
         originally installed.

       - Once the Control Panel resides on the disk, it must then be
installed into Windows 3.0. Please refer to your Windows 3.0 User's
Guide for instructions on adding an application to your Windows
environment. The program to be added is MIC1CP.EXE, and resides
         in your \MICFILES directory.

   3. It is advisable to make backup copies of the following files in the
       \MICFILES direcory:

             DVA-AVS.DAT
             DVA-VIP1.DAT
             M30SETUP.CNF

and also in the root directory of the boot disk

             CONFIG.SYS

These are the files re-written by the Control Panel and keeping
backups will ensure that you can revert to your old setup if the
       application behaves unexpectedly.

   4. Changing the video input standard (PAL or NTSC) may cause the
Windows graphics to be incorrectly scaled. It is therefore advisable
to ensure that you are using the correct video standard when Windows
is invoked. The Control Panel does not set the default video standard
on start-up, so this is only achieved by explicitly changing the
       standard within the Control Panel.

   5. The Comb Filter selection does not appear to function in this
release of the Control Panel. This will be addressed in a future
       release.

   6. The DLL MICDLL.DLL is reqiured by this application. The version
of this DLL supplied on this disk is a new version that is
required, but which remains backwardly compatible with previous
       versions of micdll.dll.

   7. The Control Panel only affects input 1 settings. Input 2 settings
       are not modified.

   8. When the audio page is selected an "AUDIO ON" command is sent to MIC.
When it is 'unselected' an "AUDIO OFF" command is sent. This is
to ensure that the audio is on when the audio page is visible.

   9. On startup the Control Panel reads all the settings from disk
and sets the values so that the settings on disk are the ones on
display. On exit all the current settings are written to disk.

  10. The Control Panel does not work in Windows Real mode, it needs
       Standard or Enhanced mode.

  11. The Control Panel requires that MIC be loaded whilst running Windows.
